Maritime business in the former Czechoslovakia developed precisely in close cooperation with communist China. The excursion to the period when Czechoslovakia purchased the first seagoing ships that made the first voyages from Europe to the Far East concludes in 1959, when the independent enterprise Czechoslovak Ocean Shipping was founded - in fact, a secret form of a joint Czechoslovak-Chinese business in the field of maritime navigation.
