Children and Youth Delinquency in and around Malls: The Displacement Theory Observation During Covid-19 Lockdowns

Abstrakt
The poster brings fresh data from the questionary which tests the displacement theory. We focus on children and youth delinquency in an around malls.
Building on a previous study based on interviews with mall security guards we have defined typical risk behavior. We asked youth workers across the Czech Republic about the situation before Covid-19, the situation during lockdowns when malls were closed and the current situation.
The aim of this survey is to find out if the delinquency has moved to some new places or vanished during the Covid-19 and compare it with the current situation. The general goal is to explore the meaning of malls in the context of the children and youth delinquency.
