The paper follows the Czech reception of Péter Esterh ázy's literary work from its beginnings until 2022. It continuously characterizes the social and literary context (and their changes) into which the individual translations of Esterházy's works gradually enter and key moments of the Czech reception (reviews and presentations of the author's works at Czech literary festivals, etc.).
It also deals with some specific and general translation problems that inevitably accompany translations of Esterházy's postmodern texts.
