The impact of EU citizenship on European constitutions

Publication at Faculty of Law |
2022

Abstract

This paper examines how citizenship of the Union has affected the constitutions of EU Member States and whether it would be de lege ferenda to amend the Czech Constitution in this respect. In order to answer these questions, the author compares the constitutions of nine EU Member States and their European articles related to Union citizenship.

European regulations in the constitutions of other states can serve as inspiration for the Czech constitution.
