The chapter addresses a human-centered view of the question "What needs distance learning to succeed, and what didactic, social, technological and legal framework conditions have to be taken into account in order to be able to anchor digital teaching in the long term?" It answers this question from the point of view of students, teachers, parents and other stakeholder groups. The question arises as to what can be learned from distance learning, which is not a replacement, but an extension of regular teaching.
