The article focuses on the philosophical foundations of Zervan's reflections on architecture. In the first part these foundations are identified in his approach to architectural thought of P.
Eisenman. In this context the stimuli coming from the representatives of poststructuralism, and among them primarily those from J.
Derrida, come to the fore. In the following parts the attention is focused on Zervan's theoretical analysis of V.
Dedeček's architectural work.
