Pupils with different school attitudes and their achievements

Abstract

The paper presents the results of a study of the relationship between students' attitudes to school and school achievement, results in didactic tests, a comprehensive teaching idea and observed behavior in teaching. A study of 29 primary school classes showed that the school attitudes of pupils are rather positive.

Nevertheless, significant relationships were found between attitudes and school results (measured according to various criteria). There were strong differences between classes in both attitudes and their relationship to school performance.
