Abstract

At the workshop, the results of collective work on the project TA CR Electronic lexical database of Indo-Iranian languages were presented. The Persian pilot module and the possibilities of its longer-term development were outlined, as well as the possibilities of subsequent linking of other language modules.

The colleagues and general public were introduced to the test versions of the project's main outputs: the web and mobile applications of the database, the concept and the procedures for importing and further processing lexical data and further general concepts, such as the development and processing of language corpora and other tools applied in lexicography and language teaching. The workshop was attended by all members of the research team, who also presented their contributions, as well as guests from the Comenius University in Bratislava, the Institute of the Czech National Corpus of the Faculty of Economics of the UK and seven other workplaces in the Czech and Slovak Republic.

Researchers from the SOÚ of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic and the FF UK presented the main concepts and the results of the project, shared their experience with data processing using the SIL International FieldWorks Language Explorer FLEx tool, the guests introduced corpus linguistics tools and presented a newly developed key tool for electronic database processing - the language corpus Araneum Persicum. The presented testing version "Electronic lexical database of Indo-Iranian languages, Persian pilot project" demonstrated the functionality and variability of use both in the case of web and mobile applications.
