Abstract

Footbridge over the railway line in Prague - Veleslavín: The drawings present a visual representation of crossing the line in Prague - Veleslavín near the castle using a carbon footbridge suspended in oak trunks, which were planted and grown for this purpose. The footbridge winds between the branches like a strip of paper put together in different ways, the individual parts are basically connected by hinges and the end points of the straight section of the footbridge are each time anchored by three ropes.

The drawing evokes the illusion of a place with trees at a life stage of at least 100 to 150 years deliberately (baroquely) planted to form bridge pillars and a suspension system for a footbridge could be used here. The track crossing object itself should not be too visually prominent.

The motivation for this concept is the intention to support the preservation of a certain degree of the impression of the rural character of the area, which is now typical for the area around the castle in Veleslavín and which will undoubtedly disappear due to the influence of future global architectural modifications.
