Activities of the Czech National Bank in the fileld of financial education for primary and secondary schools
Abstract
The Czech National Bank has as a member of the financial education working group, among other things, a task of supporting financial education activities. The focus of the Czech National Bank's efforts in this area is mainly a publication of electronic learning materials that quite clearly cover the main areas of the current Czech standard of financial literacy.
This publication activity is then supplemented by exhibition activities and lectures and cooperation with other institutions on activities intended for gifted students. The activities of the Czech National Bank are currently focused mainly on knowledge, and less on the skills and attitudes that co-create financial literacy.
Similarly, they are devoted only to a lesser extent to the development of mathematical literacy, which is closely related to financial literacy.
