Abstrakt
In the poster I will describe one part of my project of "structural thinking and its teaching": design and implementation of facultative seminar for first year students at Faculty of Mathematics and Physics which help them to overcome the gap between secondary and university mathematics. I will present its content based on exploring symmetries of regular polygons and polyhedra, building on students' previous knowledge and being a starting point to more abstract disciplines.
