Abstract
In her book "Handmaid of the Lord", Adrienne von Speyr (1902-1967), the Swiss mystic and physician, offers her readers an extraordinary insight into the mystery of Christian fecundity, whose primary principle is the birth of Jesus Christ: the birth of Christ through Mary, Mother and Virgin, becomes a model of Christian fruitfulness, permanently determining the future life of the Church. Therefore, the article guides us through some of the meditations on the events of Christ's birth from Mary's perspective, giving us the opportunity to understand more deeply what Christian fecundity is all about and how a new reality comes into being through man's collaboration with God.
