Abstract
The methodology of inventory surveys (IS) for lichens standardizes the procedures for surveys of these organisms in defined areas (typically small-area specially protected areas (MZCHÚ), e.g. natural monuments, nature reserves, etc.). It follows on from the general methodology of IS plants.
This methodology is developed at the initiative of the Nature and Landscape Protection Agency of the Czech Republic. The outputs of IP lichens can be used, among other things, to develop care plans for individual biotopes or the entire MZCHÚ, to identify the most valuable biotopes within PLA or other defined areas.
