Abstract
A review of the collective monograph "The Power of the Powerless: Masaryk, Patočka, Havel", a publication that was produced in response to a high-profile conference under the patronage of a former Latvian President Vaira Vīķe-Freiberga, which maps the philosophical heritage of the Czech Republic. The review assesses this impressive achievement in the field of Czech-Latvian historiographical, literary and other humanities relations and gives an overview of the individual parts of the publication linked to three of the most famous Czech historical figures in Latvia - Masaryk, Patočka and Havel.
