The second, substantially expanded edition of the publication Mediator's Handbook or What is Good to Know Not Only for the Mediator's Examination provides comprehensive study material to prepare for the mediator's examination or the family mediation examination. The book is divided into three comprehensive units:
Part One (Mediation Styles) and Part Two (The Mediator's Exam) provide a comprehensive explanation of mediation, its principles and historical foundations. The reader is expected to learn how to use the basic mediation techniques at the precise time and in the precise situation in which it is appropriate and necessary. The interpretation is focused on the practical part of the mediator's exam.
Part Three (Theoretical Aspects of Preparing for the Family Mediation Exam) and Part Four (Law, Ethics, Mediation) are newly included due to the increasing emphasis on demonstrating theoretical knowledge in both the mediator exam and the family mediation specialty exam.
Part Five (Casebook - Model Cases) has also been newly included and complements the previous texts with thirty model cases that can be used for practical exercises, as they form the assignment for both parties to the dispute and for the mediator.
