Abstract
An expert review of the subject monograph in the field of military history, focusing on the problems of its descriptive narrative positivist approach. This is contrasted with a more advanced problem-analytical approach, e.g. in the modulation of the so-called new military history, which represents a more advanced paradigm in the Czech military-historical environment.
The review also focuses on the unreflected use of historical quasi-characters and ethno-cultural stereotypical labels.
