Mediation training as performed at the law schools shows some particularities as compared to general mediation curriculum. Apart form basic mediation introduction, the students should gain different set of skills and knowledge as well as their role in mediation in the future is most probably going to be parties' advisors. Thus the main purpose of mediation curriculum at the law school should be mediation advocacy skills' training. Consequently, the forming of new mediators-to-be is only a secondary target of any such program.
This paper describes the way the mediation is taught at the ADR Centre of the Charles University School of Law and it is reflecting the said paradigm.
