The presentation dealt with the transposition provisions of the upcoming amendment to the Labour Code in relation to Directive (EU) 2019/1152 of the European Parliament and Council of 20 June 2019 on transparent and predictable working conditions in the European Union and Directive (EU) 2019/1158 of the European Parliament and Council of 20 June 2019 on the balance between the work and private life of parents and carers and on the repeal of Council Directive 2010/18/EU (the so-called Work-life balance directive). As part of the contribution, reflections were presented on the practical effects of the transposition provisions in practice of employers, as well as regarding the legal regulation of parental leave in the Czech Republic and the different understanding compared to the Work-life balance directive.
