The main objective of this paper is to publish several passages from my interview with Odongowa (1924-2017), daughter of Merse (Guo Daofu 郭道甫), (1894-193?) an Inner Mongolian politician of Daur descent deeply involved with the Inner Mongolian People's Revolutionary Party in the 1920's. Along with commentary and explanations, those selected parts do contribute to the already published biographical information about Merse and that they can provide us with a rare insight into day-to-day life of a layer of Hulun Buir society to which Merse's family belonged over the span of the first decades of the 20th century.
Adding tiny, nonetheless colourful threads to the fabric of our knowledge.
