The objective of this symposium is to gather European researchers who are actively involved in historical, processual, and/or figurational sociology and history (inspired by Norbert Elias). We would like to encourage you to present your latest/current research within the field of Historical Sociology, as well as ways to raise the importance of Historical Sociology within wider academic research and the future of Historical Sociology.
Our goal is to privilege quality over quantity therefore, during the two-day symposium, each presenter be given time to present their current research interests and receive substantial questions and feedback, generating extensive discussions. The intention of the symposium is to start long-term conversations and links between scholars with shared interests.
