The book The caring motivation: An integrated theory is an inspiring view on various manifestations of care. The book brings together diverse research on caring. The author, Ofra Mayseless, a professor of developmental psychology from Israel, examines caring as a motivation from a broad perspective. She presents an innate, biologically driven and evolutionarily chosen, yet contextually sensitive general motivational system of caring. The book highlights the giving end of our relations and the integral place of care in our lives.
