Based on the research of Thomas Kuhn, I have examined examples from the history of the natural sciences that show how a science can assume the character of a normal science. Three operations can be analyzed, each of which has a strategic value for the constitution of a normal science.

It is characteristic for these operations that they all help to keep irritation potentials and irregularities out of the scientific enterprise, so that the actual object of research can still be investigated positively and does not have to be changed in its fundamental existence. Therefore science can upheld, what Kuhn calls a paradigm.
