Abstract
The aim of the paper is to outline the development of certain aspect of undertaiking a business in the first years of the restoration of capitalism in Czechoslovakia. I primarily look at the transformation of the business culture and the associated principle of path dependence.
The unsaturated market, non-existence of financial capital, and the example of behavior in the population inheritedy from the time of state socialism combined to create a unique system of transformational capitalism.
