Abstract
The paper will discuss one of the key concepts of a dissertation in progress, namely self-constitution and self-destructon in and by text. Theoretical framings will be combined with analyses of selected texts by Unica Zürn and Zbyněk Havlíček.
The interpretive key will be the focus on natural and organic imagery. In the work of these two authors, natural imagery draw attention to the ambivalence of a creative process that oscilates between art and artifice, between the viral energy of an original work of art as an organism, and the mechanical deadness of an artefact.
