The study addresses the themes of the image of God, sin and following Jesus in the context of environmental theology. It uses three dimensions of sin (pride, concupiscence, and sloth) as a theological lens to help see the destructive consequences of human actions. At the same time, it highlights the basic structures of Jesus' actions and teachings as a counterbalance to these forms of sin.
In the end, this study offers some impulses for the field of social work.
