Abstract

A workshop dedicated to philosophical, sociological and anthropological perspectives on the precariat and workers in contemporary fragmented society. Michael Hauser presented his approach based on the book The Age of Transition and the Manifesto of the Socialist Movement.

Sociologist Katerina Nedbálková spoke about the nature of contemporary work with reference to her recent research in factory settings. Philosopher and anthropologist Joe Feinberg described the challenges and pitfalls of uniting the social majority.
