Abstract
The aim was to create a portal for pooling information, where its users-citizens can find "everything under one roof". This means complete, comprehensible information, written in "human" language, concisely presented and above all up-to-date.
As far as the design is concerned, we proposed that the "Compatriot Portal" should be linked to the already existing "Citizen Portal" in order to make it easier for compatriots to find their way around, as they have already had the opportunity to see such a solution. Furthermore, we recommended several link windows that should reflect a breakdown according to the current situation the compatriot is in: "I want to leave", "I live abroad", "I want to return" and furthermore, the breakdown should be according to the current life events the compatriot is dealing with at the moment.
A separate chapter are correspondence elections, which are a very crucial topic for expatriates, similarly to Czech language teaching. The portal should devote exceptional and appropriate space to these two topics.
