Abstract
The ambition of our conference will be to introduce Ph.D. students to the approaches of historical and comparative macro-sociology and to do so from an interdisciplinary perspective. Historical sociology is, in our opinion, unthinkable without a dialogue with archaeology, anthropology, history, or even evolutionary biology.
