Abstract
This article in the form of a biography and a witness story is the result of a comprehensive biographical interview with the book illustrator and author of stamp designs Adolf Absolon. The interview and the related publication were carried out as part of a broader research focused on the sociology of Czech art in the second half of the 20th century.
