Abstrakt
IgA nephropathy is the commonest primary glomerulonephritis worldwide. It is often diagnosed in younger adults, and the socioeconomic burden is therefore high.
Recent observational data from the UK indicates that most patients (even with modest proteinuria) are at risk of kidney failure unless their annual rate of kidney function decline can be maintained at <= 1 mL/min/1.73m2.
