The mass presence of Greeks in Czechoslovakia is linked to the Greek Civil War (1946-49). This presentation aims to cover the most important stages in the development of the Greek community in Czechoslovakia, from its arrival to the present day.
It focuses on issues such as the formation of the identity of the refugees, integration and co-habitation with Czech society, and touches on the issue of repatriation and the situation of the communities after 1989. It also briefly examines the current phenomenon of brain drain from Greece to the Czech Republic.
