Abstract
The methodology guides teachers through the textbook "Eco Alphabet Class VI: Eco-holidays for the whole school year." intended for pupils of the 6th grade of the 2nd primary school. The aim of this textbook is to introduce environmental and sustainability education in a different way - through the celebration of selected holidays.
In our concept, teachers introduce pupils to one carefully selected holiday each month of the school year (Earth Day, International Car Free Day, World Water Day, etc.). Both the methodological manual and the textbook are electronic books (e-books).
They are based on the theory of neo-behaviorism, or ABA learning (Applied Behavioral Analysis) and modern program learning. They contain a variety of different interactive and gamification elements and allow for self-directed learning.
Teachers are introduced to the theoretical background through the methodology and are guided through each chapter of the textbook in turn, in order to use it as effectively as possible.
