The Role of Libraries in the Integration of Migrant Children - Research Findings and Application Recommendations
Abstract
The comprehensive research report is one of the two main outputs of the project "Local Libraries in the Digital Era as a Tool for the Integration of Migrant Children," supported by the Technology Agency of the Czech Republic (ETA program, duration: July 1, 2020, to June 30, 2023). The first part consists of the conceptual foundations of the research, its methods, and chronological procedures.
The second part focuses on the practical application of the research, divided according to individual examined library branches. Each branch is evaluated from the perspective of the research team (including the architect) and incorporates insights from collaborating schools and other entities.
For each branch, strengths and weaknesses are identified, along with recommendations that can be implemented in their specific environment. However, these are not the only recommendations arising from the research, as a separate document is dedicated, especially to more generalizable recommendations applicable to other libraries.
