The aim of the paper is to introduce the professional public to the launch of a research investigation focused on the range of necessary musical skills needed for the implementation of music education in pre-primary education from the perspective of kindergarten teachers. The reason for starting the research is the need to obtain data that will help in the creation of new didactic material designed for teaching didactically oriented music education subjects at the level of undergraduate studies and high school specialization in pre-school and after-school pedagogy.
The paper describes the process of preparing the questionnaire survey, methodological aspects and evaluation of the first data obtained.
