Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) and European Security and Defence Policy (ESDP) of EU : Challenges, Posibilities and Limits

Abstract

CFSP was introduced under the Maastricht Treaty to provide a legal framework for coordination of foreign and security policy of EU, by intergovernmental methods. Being a part of CFSP, ESDP gave to EU direct acces to military structures and means.

Identified primarily with crises management ESDP remains to be a development matter.
