Abstract
The editorial presents the personality of Vladimír Borecký, philosopher, psychologist and theorist of culture. It deals with Borecký's interest in marginalized areas of culture, his four stage theory of the comic, and the theory of "mašibl" (peculiar texts).
The second part of the editorial briefly introduces the content of articles collected in the thematic bloc which has been released in Svět literature 2023 (XXXIII) 67.
