The content of this paper is not intended to be a reflection on the declaration of states of emergency or a reflection on their content, but as a constitutional theorist I have chosen the issue of elections in states of emergency, or the effectiveness of the legal regulation in Article 10 of the Security Act, which regulates the regime of extension of the electoral period, although I suspect that the practice is more concerned with more practical and "everyday" problems, or the effects of a declared state of emergency.961 when, on the other hand, elections are, according to a popular liberal precept, a celebration of democracy, and even a declared state of emergency should not be a reason not to celebrate the holiday properly. Moreover, elections are a "game" for up to 8,200,000 citizens of the Czech Republic.
