Abstract
The paper deals with the conflict of public and private interests in the performance of sporting activities in specially protected areas, especially in the Czech Republic. Sports activities are a growing social phenomenon and their occurrence is increasingly taking place in specially protected areas.
The paper deals with the purpose of specially protected areas and the objectives of protection, but above all it focuses on the definition of the public interest in sport, which may conflict with the public interest in nature protection.
