Stability-based sorting

Abstract

Stability-based sorting (SBS) is a universal evolutionary mechanism that fosters traits contributing to the enduring existence of their bearers. This process, applicable to all material and immaterial entities, does not necessitate these entities to reproduce or exhibit heredity.

In any system, it invariably results in the accumulation of entities that vanish at the slowest rate.
