Abstract
The presented study The Holy See on the Threshold of the World War I in 1914 deals with the situation and attitude of the Holy See before World War I and shortly after its beginning. It reflects not only its internal changes before the conflict but also reflects on its presence in international relations at the beginning of the 20th century, in relation to the countries of the Triple Alliance and the Triple Entente.
