Contemporary requiem from the perspective of music and other perspectives

Abstract

Requiem is an invariable that has existed in the musical world for centuries and has got an undeniable quality. Contemporary approaches to this composition have been so diff erent, that it is worthy to have a closer look at the attempts of Czech composers and explore their requiems from diff erent perspectives.

From the perspectives of musical, religion and philosophy the composition of requiem gives us the space to think how to engage this musical structure into music lessons at schools.
