The paper analyses the explanations of word formation and related exercises in the textbook series published by Nov á škola for the 6th-9th grade of primary school and also in the exercise books Opakujeme češtinu..., which are closely connected with this textbook series. It points out inconsistencies, professional mistakes and problematic points in the didacticisation of the word-formation curriculum and raises the question of what the curriculum should be used for at the second level of primary school.
