Abstract
In 1936-1939, an illustrated New Testament was published with illustrations by Jan Konůpek, who, in addition to the New Testament, also illustrated a number of books of the Old Testament and the Apocrypha. Typical for him is the insertion of biblical stories into Czech nature, architecture and history.
