The aim of the paper is to present the possibilities of bibliotherapy when working with the topic of death and dying with preschool children. The theoretical part defines the development of the concept of death in preschool age and the phase of coping with the death of a close person.
It presents the benefits of using the story and specifies the procedures and phases of working with the story. The second part of the paper is aimed at the practical use of story in the context of death.
There are suggestions of educational and therapeutic activities suitable for preschool children and a selection of contemporary children's literature together with annotations, dedicated to the topic of death and dying.
