The sociolinguistic landscape of Bosnia and Herzegovina: Navigating between and beyond ‘difference’ and ‘sameness’

Abstrakt

The lecture was organized as part of the project "Venezia legge i Balcani" (Venice reads the Balkans) at the Department of Linguistics and Comparative Cultural Studies at Ca' Foscari University in Venice. The talk was centered on a comprehensive overview of the sociolinguistic situation in present-day Bosnia and Herzegovina, covering aspects such as language policies (with specific focus on education), major actors involved, conflicting ideologies and main points of contestations.
