Abstract
Interview with Dr. Nico Carpentier, who is currently a distinguished professor at Charles University in the Czech Republic, a concurrent professor at the Free University of Brussels in Belgium, and a former chair professor at Uppsala University in Sweden.
He was elected as the new President of the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) in July 2020 (2020-2024). He is also one of the founders of the European Association for Communication Research and Education (ECREA) and served as Vice President of the Association (2008-2012).
He also served as Chairman of the Audience Research Branch and Participatory Communication Research Branch of the International Association for Media and Communication Research.
