On the local strong solutions for a system describing the flow of a viscoelastic fluid

Abstract

We consider a model describing flow of a viscoelastic fluid. Under relatively mild assumptions of the regularity of the initial condition we show existence of a local-in-time strong solution for various boundary condition in 2 or 3 space dimensions.
