Czechoslovak Act.No. 96/1925 Coll. was the last provision in the long tradition of interfaith legislation valid in the territory of current Czech Republic. Although commentators had considered the Act abolished as of 1 November 1949, the legislature explicitly abolished the Act only in 1992.
The article questions whether the commentators had valid reasons for contending that the Act was abolished in 1949, it suggests that the commentators conclusion must be revised in view of the accumulated history and legal facts.
