Growing fuzzy inference neural networks: their pronciple and application

Abstract

The GFINN-model is inspired by growing neural gas enhanced with pruning and increased sensitivity to appropriate output values. From trained GFINN-systems, transparent fuzzy IF-THEN rules can be extracted in a simple way with irrelevant features easily pruned from the antecedents.
