Tunable terahertz oscillations in superlattices subject to an in-plane magnetic field (Article No. 125312)

Abstract

We present a concept of terahertz oscillations in superlattices generated under conditions apparently different from standard Bloch oscillations. The oscillations are induced by crossed magnetic and electric fields both applied to the superlattice in the in-plane direction.

The frequency of these oscillations is tunable by the applied fields.
